Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 18, 2025
Thank you for using Qwispr. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how Qwispr handles voice recordings, transcripts, app usage data, and website analytics.
1. Data Collection
Qwispr is designed for private, local-first transcription. We do not collect or store personally identifiable information (PII) from your voice recordings and transcripts.
Website Analytics with Rybbit
We use Rybbit on the Qwispr website to understand basic page activity and improve the site. Specifically:
- We collect aggregate website analytics such as page views and referrer information.
- Download button clicks may be tracked as website events so we can understand which calls to action are used.
- Website analytics do not include the contents of your voice recordings or transcripts.
2. Data Storage
Your voice recordings and transcripts are handled locally on your device for Qwispr's core transcription workflow. This means:
- We do not store your transcript data on any server.
- We do not have access to your voice recordings and transcripts.
3. Third-Party Services
Qwispr's premium AI cleanup feature may use the device's Apple Intelligence capabilities where available. Raw transcription remains available without a subscription, and AI cleanup is gated by a one-time lifetime unlock.
The Qwispr website uses Rybbit for analytics as described above. The app may also use Apple services for purchase processing and entitlement restoration through the App Store.
4. Your Rights
Because we do not store your voice recordings or transcripts on our servers, there is no server-side transcript data for us to provide or delete.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
